Künstlerin
Toni Dove, Medienkünstlerin und unabhängige
Produzentin, arbeitet vorwiegend mit elektronischen Medien, wobei
der Schwerpunkt ihrer VR- und DVD-ROM-Projekte sowie ihrer interaktiven
Videoinstallationen vor allem auf der Auslotung interaktiver Strukturen
im Bereich immersiver narrativer Umgebungen liegt. Neben Medienkunstprojekten,
die im Rahmen internationaler Ausstellungen etwa in den USA, Europa
und Kanada zu sehen sind, umfaßt ihre Arbeit zudem Publikationen
sowie Produktionen für Hörfunk und Fernsehen.
Dove wurde mit zahlreichen Stipendien u.a. von der Rockefeller Foundation,
der Langlois Foundation und dem National Endowment for the Arts
ausgezeichnet. 1997 wurde ihr der »Eugene McDermott Award
in the Arts« des MIT verliehen.
