Shelley Eshkar is a multimedia artist and experimental animator who began collaborating with Paul Kaiser in 1995. He received a B.F.A. from the Cooper Union School of Art, where he was first exposed to modern dance, watching performances by the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company. Eshkar has initiated a project entitled, "Motion Alphabets," at his alma mater, where he has been appointed a Fellow. His innovations in three-dimensional figural drawing and animation have aroused considerable attention in the fields of computer graphics, dance and architecture.
