lives and works in Sydney [AUS]

Susan Norrie studied at the National Art School, Sydney, and at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne [1974-76]. In the 1970s, Norrie dedicated herself primarily to painting. Over the last decade she has increasingly incorporated media such as painting, film, video and sculptural elements into her art. In this context, Norrie repeatedly quotes from movies and is today working on interactive forms of cinema. Her works have been shown in Australia and internationally since the mid-80s, and have been included in numerous museum and gallery collections - among these, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, and the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne.
