The spectacular party, within the context of our exhibition “Light Art from Artificial Light” is a co-operative project with the mood lounge and mussicclub Karlsruhe, and will take place in light courts 6 + 7 of the ZKM / Centre for Art and Media Technology. The impressive line-up of international stars from the electroacoustic music scene will be combined with extraordinary dance performances and light installations. In the ZKM Foyer you can expect mesmeric and danceable electronic sound whilst ordering cool drinks from one of the 2 bars and Lounge on offer. Amongst the DJ’s at the turntable will be Vienna Scientists featuring Jurgen Drimal (freedom satellite/vienna), Alexkid (F.com/Paris), Ame featuring Kristian Beyer (sonarkollektiv), Shahrokh featuring Tobias Wootton (live sax / mood lounge).
In addition to the video installations, the electric light from the University of Design (HfG) and the artistic exhibits from the ZKM exhibition “ Light Art from Artificial Light”, Gigi Hayat will be putting on a dance performance. She has excited audiences since 1984 with her individual shows, where many dance genres are are allowed to coexist and interact. She belongs to one of the few artists world-wide who has already achieved a most distinctive and differentiated perfectionism.

A unique optical and acoustic experience can be guaranteed by the mood light party until 5 am in the morning. In addition, all ticket-holders present will receive a free voucher allowing entrance to our exhibition “Light Art from Artificial Light”.
