SPRACHE
Solo-concert with Christian Kesten
Sun, April 29, 2012 8 pm CEST, Concert
Language as auditory material – since DADA and the Schwittersian sound poems about Anna Blume, the multiplicity of the vowels as well as the meaningful and meaningless speech sounds were both starting point and aim of many composers and vocal performers. Humor and an unexpected virtuosity emerges through the experimental forms of language. In the solo-concert by the vocal performer Christian Kesten, new productions of associatively rich texts by Ed Sommer will be premiered. In addition, Kesten will be interpreting 'poésie sonore' of the Swiss composer and musician, Jacques Demierre, who was discovered only a few years ago, and the old master of vocal composition, Gerhard Rühm.
