Ecumenical church service
Sun, March 23, 2014 6.30 pm CET, Talk
Since 1999, every year − in the context of an exhibition − an ecumenical church service is held at the ZKM. In dealing with the current art, the perception of reality from the point of view of the artists is brought into a fruitful dialogue with the eyes of faith. In the exhibition "global aCtIVISm" diverse civil society engagements of the globalized world from an artistic point of view are gathered. What gives us hope for a livable world? The memory of the prophetic criticism of the Bible, faith and commitment as a reason for hope to share with each other − that is what we hope of this year's ecumenical church service at the ZKM.

In Karlsruhe, groups are connected to the "global activism" as well. They will be present at the service and will invite all volunteers to a "Pray and righteous action". The service is organized by an ecumenical group of the ZKM as well as Protestant and Catholic theologians from Karlsruhe.
