A symposium is scheduled to take place as part of the exhibition in which participants focus their attention to the performative aspect in the artistic work of the three Action artists. What possibilities exist for description, documentation, contextualization and museum presentation for these forms of performative expression?

The contributions by Siegfried Zielinski, Ursula Frohne and Christian Katti, Sven Lindholm, Petra Maria Meyer, Monika Schmitz-Emans, Christoph Zeller, Ulf Jensen and many more, shed light on the Actions of the three artists by way of shared themes, and show parallels and differences of artistic self-expression in their works and in their approaches to viewers.
