Emanuel Lorrain

Biography
Emanuel Lorrain is a graduate of the École nationale supérieure d’art de Bourges (FR) and the Département Archives et Images de l’Université Toulouse II-Le Mirail (FR). Since 2009 he has been working for PACKED vzw in Brussels. PACKED vzw, set up in 2005 by four Flemish art organisations (ARGOS – Centre for Art and Media, Brussels; M HKA in Antwerp; the museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, Deurle; and S.M.A.K., Ghent, BE) is an umbrella organization and a knowledge platform for developing and disseminating information on the preservation of audiovisual art. In 2011 PACKED vzw became a national centre of expertise on digital heritage. Its role is to assist heritage and cultural institutions in Flanders. From 2011 to 2013, PACKED vzw coordinated the EU project Digitising Contemporary Art (DCA), in which 25 partners, including 21 collections of contemporary art in twelve countries, were involved.
