Rosina Gómez-Baeza

Biography
Rosina Gómez-Baeza is codirector and cofounder of YGB Art. She studied English literature and philology at Cambridge University (UK), education science in London, and the history of art and French civilization in Paris. From 1986 to 2006 she was director of ARCO, from 2005 to 2008 president of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Madrid, founding director of the Biennial of Art, Architecture and Landscape of the Canary Islands (2006), and founding director of LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial (2006– 2011) in Gijón (ES). She currently works for the City Council of Madrid on a start-up scheme for cultural and creative industries, Factoría Cultural, Matadero, for the Reina Sofía, and Fundación Banco de Santander, leading research on contemporary art in Spain. She is a lecturer at the Carlos III and Complutense Universities in Madrid and a member of the International Council, Post-graduate Institute of the Universidad Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona (ES).
