Thomas Dreier

Biography
Thomas Dreier is professor of civil law and legal aspects of the information society at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (DE). He is head of the Institute for Information and Business Law and the Center for Applied Legal Studies. He chairs the copyright expert group of the German Association of Industrial Property and Copyright, is vice president of the Association Littéraire et Artistique International (ALAI), and a member of the advisory board of the Institute for Art and Law (IFKUR). He formerly worked at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property Rights and Competition Law in Munich (DE). Dreier studied law and art history in Bonn (DE), Geneva (CH), Munich (DE), and New York (NY). He is the author of numerous publications on art law.
