"ART"
Three Men in a museum. Two sit and look disinterested to the left. One of them kneels. He raises his arms and looking with a desperate expression directly into the camera. Behind the men is a painting. It shows a snowy landscape.

Three friends, three biographies, a modern work of art and the crisis of a male friendship − that is »ART«. Though they couldn’t be more different, the friendship lasting over many years has kept Marc, Serge and Yvan together. However, one day the friendship that had evolved over many years, suddenly began to waver: The white picture − in Marc’s eyes »nothing« − acquired for a horrendous price, became the trigger for a violent argument. Yvan attempted to mediate between the two, and yet the situation escalated and disclosed the precariousness of apparently secure identities.

The play by Yasmina Reza is an intelligent comedy of relations for friends and enemies of modern art, and an entertaining insight into the essence of male friendships in middle age.
