Misal Adnan Yıldız

Misal Adnan Yıldız is a curator, lecturer and researcher. He is currently the director of Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, a position he shares with Çağla Ilk since May 2020. He was director of Artspace Aotearoa in Auckland (New Zealand) (2014-2017) and artistic director of Künstlerhaus Stuttgart (Germany) (2011-2014). Yıldız was co-curator of the main exhibition of the 6th Ural Industrial Biennial in Yekaterinburg (Russia). Since 2019, he is a PhD student in exhibition architecture at HFC Hamburg (Germany) and was a board member of the New Center for Research & Practice in Seattle (USA) (2020). In Istanbul (Turkey), Yıldız studied Psychology and Education (BA) at Boğaziçi University and Visual Arts & Visual Communication Design (MA) at Sabanci University. He participated in the curatorial research program CuratorLab at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm (Sweden) and the Independent Research Program at Valand Art Academy.
