Alternative Cover, Computers and the Humanities Magazine

Photographic reversal printed on canvas—a collage of computer art by varied artists published in Computers & People magazine. As the Art Editor of both periodicals, the artist was invited to design several covers for CHUM to be used for five sequential years. Portions of previous artists' published graphics, illustrations of Hertlein and student works, were cropped and incorporated photographically into a black and white collage, presented here with a dramatic reversal of the resultant images. This collage was also silkscreened on textiles. The specific purpose of the graphic was to illustrate varied uses of computers in the humanities.
