Peter Weibel: Kunst und/als Wissenschaft

Peter Weibel, Director of ZKM | Center for Art and Media

Born 1944 in Odessa. From 1984 Professor of Visual Media Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Founded the Institute for New Media at the Städelschule in Frankfurt/M. in 1989. From 1986 to 1995 artistic advisor to the Ars Electronica, Linz, later artistic director. From 1993 to 1998 curator of the Neue Galerie Graz. Since 1999 Director of the Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe.
