“Repair the irrigation machine as fast as possible and waste as little water as possible in the process!” This is the goal of the video game Saving Water, which was developed by the Karlsruhe PONG.Li Studios. Prominently projected onto the facade of the HypoVereinsbank and visible from afar, this crowd game — a game for anyone and everyone present on the square — directs attention to the themes of sustainability and resources. Via an app, you can oversee the construction of a water pipeline so that as little water as possible is wasted. This interactive projection is based on the prize-winning facade game Capture the Pyramid, which PONG.Li Studios developed in 2015 for the first Schlosslichtspiele Festival, spectacular projections mapped onto the long facade of the baroque Karlsruhe Palace and other buildings. PONG.Li Studios

The artist group and creative agency PONG.Li Studios was founded in 1997 in Karlsruhe, and is active internationally in media art exhibitions, opera and theater productions that utilize large format projections, and architecture mapping. Audioreactive, interactive, and generative projections are just as much a part of their repertoire as productions and installations. In 2015 they participated in the Schlosslichtspiele Karlsruhe with their interactive facade projection Capture the Pyramid.
