Phil Stone
- Biography
Phil Stone has been fooling with computers since 1976, either musically or as a way to make a living. He studied experimental music at Wesleyan University and Mills College and was a founding member of the Hub. His programming career includes five years with NASA and 28 years with the University of California. Stone has collaborated for 37 years with the Laura Pawel Dance Company of New York, playing live electronic music. He wrote a 4’33” app for the John Cage Trust in 2013, enjoys playing electric bass in rock bands, and occasionally builds a piece of fine wood furniture. (pkstonemusic.com)
