Einem ... twelve minutes of her mind

Michael Klien works together with the composer Volkmar Klien and the programmer Nick Rothwell on a dynamic choreographic structure which traces outlines of mental processes through interaction with the dancer Nicole Peisl. »Einem« grows, learns, mutates and lives together and through the dancer.

A co-production by ZKM, Tanzquartiers Vienna and the Ballett Frankfurt.

Choreography and stage: Michael Klien
Dance: Nicole Peisl
Composition: Volkmar Klien

Duplex

Two dancers – one male and one female... all the ingredients for a classic ‘pas de deux’. With the help of dynamic, flowing, choreographic structures, the ‘classic’ twosome is lived out and experienced in a contemporary style, and in a different way every evening. The dance performance premiered with Ballet Frankfurt in March 2002 with star dancers, Jone San Martin and Fabrice Mazliah, and can be seen here in an adapted version.

A production by Ballet Frankfurt, supported by the Arts Council of England and the Tanzquartiers Vienna.

Choreography: Michael Klien
