CHROMA_LOUNGE _interactive
Sat, April 24, 2010 10 pm CEST, Concert
This evening the audience will be able for the first time help in the design of the audiovisual lounge in the foyer of the ZKM. Through the electronic music instrument “reacTable” and its revolutionary interface, they can compose and visualize sounds by moving, turning and connecting together simple Plexiglas objects on the table surface. These sounds and rhythms mix with a stream of Ambient and Minimal House sounds from dj deepthought. The audience is also able to co-shape the large light installation “CHROMA_LUX” by rosalie: Jens Barth captures the (dance) movements of the audience in the lounge live, abstracts them in outlines, and depicts them oversize on the light sheet, together with pre-produced video sequences. The musical highlight of the evening is African sounds from the Djembe by Manuel Urrutia, and process-related, room-filling electronic compositions by Gilles Gobeil and Åke Pamerud: An evening to dive in, act, listen, and dance.
