After an education in traditional and classic dance education in Mozambique, Edivaldo Ernesto , worked with numerous artists and choreographers, such as David Zambrano, Mat Voorter, Robert Hilton or Faustin Linyekula. Sasha Waltz first engaged Ernesto for her project »Dialoge Freiburg« im e-Werk Freiburg, 2005. Edivaldo Ernesto has been a permanent ensemble member of Sasha Waltz & Guests since 2008, and can be seen in countless of the company’s productions worldwide. Together with Cuban choreographer Judith Sánchez Ruíz, as director, sound designer and dancer Edivaldo Ernesto elaborated his own project entitled »There is a name for it«, which had a premier showing in Brussels, in May 2013.
