For medical reasons, the jazz trumpeter Roy Hargrove can not participate at the Regional Jazz Festival. But the Jazz Club has been able to win the American bassist Ron Carter. With his group »Ron Carter Foursight« he will present his current program »Dear Miles«. Further highlights: A concert by Joel Harrison, which Deutschlandfunk is recording live as the media partner, and appearances by the Italian bassist Riccardo del Fra and the British formation »Get the Blessing«.

6 pm	Jazzorchestra KA The »Laut & Teuer« band have been around for seven years and also appear under the title »Jazzorchestra Karlsruhe«

8:30 pm	Joel Harrison – DLF live recording Harrison is appearing in Karlsruhe with a quintet of first-class improvisers.
9:30 pm	Ricardo del Fra The Italian Riccardo Del Fra, who has been living in France since the 1980s, is one of Europe’s outstanding jazz bassists and composers.
10:30 pm	Get the Blessing This quartet, winner of the BBC Jazz Award, is considered to be one of Great Britain’s most fascinating live bands.
