Finding hardware solutions and programming together in only 28 hours – these are some of the tasks of a hackathon.

The term »Hackathon« is composed of the words »Hacking« and »Marathon«. Teams of two to four persons create creative solutions to problems in a matter of hours. The participants are supported in all questions by experienced mentors.

After 28 hours of hacking, the participants present their prototype to a jury on the Hacktival main stage. The jurors come from a wide variety of disciplines and judge the submitted ideas according to their field of expertise. Afterwards, there will be an awards ceremony in which the best three projects will be awarded.
