Portrait concert

Musical milestones: We invite you to an audiovisual portrait concert with a world premiere by Jarosław Kapuściński, a Polish composer, pianist and associate professor of composition at Stanford University.

In his portrait concert »Time Spaces«, Jarosław Kapuściński presents a cross-section of his career as a pianist and composer in fixed media versions. All compositions will be presented audiovisually, with the first half featuring 2D films and the second half spectacular 3D projections. We will provide you with the glasses to immerse yourself in and experience the stereoscopic moving images of the second half on site.

The works presented cover a period from 1992 onwards. As part of the concert, Kapuściński will also operate his VR instrument, which will be accessible free of charge to visitors to the museum in the foyer of the ZKM over the weekend of March 15-17 and can be tried out for yourself. During the concert, Kapuściński will demonstrate the full range of possibilities offered by this instrument. Another highlight will be the world premiere of his latest work »Reaching for the Doors to Paradise«, which was created in collaboration with the OpenEndedGroup.
